Subscribe to gNMI telemetry

Open the lab you want to monitor.

We will watch the first Ethernet interface on router R one.

Use your Gateway API token as the telemetry API key.

Store the token privately in the client configuration file.

Use the router name and the exact interface path.

Run Get to check that the interface is administratively down.

Start a sample subscription for the same interface.

The client receives a new sample every two seconds.

Run no shutdown on the interface in the router terminal.

The next sample shows that the interface is administratively up.

Press Control C to stop the subscription.

Start a new subscription when you switch labs.
