Collect router logs with a syslog receiver Open Server Builder in a practice lab with a Cisco router and a connected Linux server. Add the syslog receiver preset to create separate UDP and TCP inputs on port five fourteen. Choose Apply to server and select the Linux server that will collect the logs. On the server, check that both listeners are running. On the router, point the TCP logging destination at the receiver address. Change an interface state and check the server log for the router event. Stop the receiver and confirm that a new router event does not appear in the log. Start the receiver again and verify that the next interface event arrives. Import the server configuration and reopen the saved design to check both inputs.
