LEARN BY CONFIGURING, TESTING & EXPLAINING

Turn networking theory
into something you can do.

Practice in a browser lab, follow a published tutorial, and check your understanding with available assessments. nuLAB connects networking concepts with the configuration and behavior you can inspect.

FROM CONCEPT TO EVIDENCEEXAMPLE
  1. Understand the pathIdentify the endpoints, gateway, and intended destination.
  2. Configure the labApply the supported configuration and inspect the device state.
  3. Explain the outcomeCompare connectivity with your prediction and find the cause of any difference.
  4. Try it independentlyUse an available practice task or published assessment to check understanding.

FIND THE RIGHT STARTING POINT

A scenario, a guide, or a skills check.

Choose content for the task you want to learn. Read the description, prerequisites, and access terms before starting. The catalog changes as new material is published.

Marketplace scenarios

Browse published lab packs and learning content. Review the scenario, then install content you have access to into your own workspace.

How Marketplace works

Guided tutorials

Follow instructions beside the lab. Where the content includes interactive checkpoints, check supported configuration, routing, or connectivity state as you progress.

Practical examinations

Where a Final assessment is published, complete the assigned work and submit it for grading. Review the result to identify topics that need more practice.

Understand assessments

MAKE EACH SESSION COUNT

Predict. Configure. Check. Explain.

Before entering a command, write down what you expect to change. Afterward, inspect the relevant device state and explain the result in your own words. This gives you more useful feedback than copying a finished configuration.

A small addressing exercise can become a troubleshooting task: change one gateway or interface setting, observe the failure, and work back to its cause. Keep the experiment within the supported features of the selected profiles.

YOUR LAB NOTEBOOK

Keep four pieces of evidence

  1. Question: what are you trying to understand?
  2. Prediction: what should the network do?
  3. Observation: what configuration, route, or connectivity result did you inspect?
  4. Explanation: why did the result match—or differ from—your prediction?

FOR LEARNERS & EDUCATORS

Start with the learning objective.

Independent learners

Choose a focused topic, practice in your own lab, and use available guides or checks to understand gaps before moving to a more complex scenario.

Students

Use simulated configuration and connectivity exercises to reinforce the networking concepts in your studies. Check that the selected content and profiles match your syllabus.

Educators and training teams

Evaluate a representative exercise first. Discuss learner access, curriculum fit, required devices, and available content with us before planning a wider rollout.

BEFORE YOU START

A few useful answers.

Are all Marketplace labs guided tutorials?
No. Published content can have different purposes and formats. Read the item’s description to see whether it includes a scenario, guide, interactive checkpoints, or assessment, and check its access requirements.
Is an examination available for every topic?
No. Examinations become available when Final assessment content is published. The available subjects, prerequisites, and attempt terms are shown with that content; catalog browsing does not guarantee an assessment for a particular topic.
Does passing a nuLAB assessment provide an external certification?
These are nuLAB learning assessments. Completion does not guarantee an external certification, examination result, employment, or professional qualification. Read the educational-use disclaimer.
Can my school or training organization use nuLAB?
You can evaluate whether its supported labs and published content fit your teaching. Contact us to confirm access, scale, administration, and any integration requirements before adopting it for a group.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP

Choose the next skill you want to practice.
