This lab uses two switches and two groups of hosts.
Create VLAN ten and VLAN twenty on both switches.
Set each host port to access mode and assign its VLAN.
Configure the link between the switches as a trunk on both ends.
Allow both VLANs and match the native VLAN at each end.
Check that the trunk is up and carries both VLANs.
Hosts in the same VLAN can ping across the trunk.
Hosts in different VLANs stay isolated in this Layer Two lab.
Remove VLAN ten from the trunk to interrupt its path.
VLAN twenty still works across the same cable.
Add VLAN ten back and confirm that connectivity returns.
