  1. This prepared lab contains four independent device and practice-PC pairs.

  2. On the Dell switch, open VLANs and add the training VLAN with its own ID and name.

  3. Compare the new VLAN with the Dell terminal, then save the configuration.

  4. On Aruba AOS-CX, add the training VLAN through its management page.

  5. Open Routing and add the destination network, subnet mask and reachable next hop.

  6. The Aruba changes remain pending until you choose Commit.

  7. Commit the changes, then review the VLAN and route in Configs.

  8. The connected practice PC should still reach the device after the changes.

  9. On the Huawei router, open Routing and review the independent control route.

  10. Add a different static route using the same reachable next hop.

  11. Confirm the new route in the management page and the Huawei configuration.

  12. On MikroTik, open IP Routes in WebFig and choose Add New.

  13. Enter the destination, mask and gateway, then select OK.

  14. Compare the added route and gateway with the RouterOS terminal.

  15. Choose Save All Configs, then reopen the lab and check each device by name.

  16. Confirm that both training VLANs and all three added routes are still present.

  17. Delete the Huawei route you added while preserving the independent control route.

  18. Remove only the added RouterOS route and keep its control route.

  19. Check both terminals to confirm that only the selected routes were removed.

  20. After verifying the selected removals, use Save All Configs again to preserve your changes.
